A new seires of prayer and reflection days to be held at Rous Mill Hall, Rous (near Alstonville NSW) will commence on Thursday 21 June. In this series we will undertake a prayerful and reflective study Alexander Shaia's book Heart a Mind: The Four Gospel Journey for Radical Transformation. According to Shaia the four Gospels are not four separate stories, but constitute a progressive practice for spiritual transformation.

Mystical Hope
A Centring Prayer Group
This group meets at the Gold Coast on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. The foundation of our prayer and reflection is based on Thomas Keating's book Open Mind, Open Heart: The Contemplative Dimension of the Gospel.
Centring prayer elicits a commitment to the goal of inner transformation. It suggests a practical method of entering our 'inner room' by deliberately letting go of external concerns symbolised by closing our eyes and conenting to the presence and action of God within.

Retreat in Daily Life
Centre for Practical Spirituality - Merthyr Road, NEWFARM
This retreat is a short four week retreat in daily life. It is one of the First Spiritual Exercises retreats, adapted by Michael Hansen SJ in his book of the same name. This retreat brings you into a lover's relationship with God. Beginning with your own experience of love, you will contemplate all the gifts you have received from God. This leads into movements of love, gratitude and service. (Michael Hansen, The First Spiriotual Exercises, 16).
